Beginnings

At the behest of a friend of many years, I have at long last relented and decided to post a Blog. Had someone told me just two years ago that he was about to "post a blog", I would have thought that he was about to ship off via the U.S. mail some arcane Scottish dish involving the insides of pigs and sheep. And yet here I am, about to do something very similar: serve up a dish of my insides for the whole world to see. Tra la, tra la.
